Tattoo!!

It’s (I think) done!  I was supposed to get four, but I only made it through three. There someday might be a small green one to the left of the blue and purple. I crossed my threshold though after mister blue was done. lol.  The purple one is a really pretty color. Unfortunately, all you can see is the shadow of my mother’s hand. oops.

A Day in Seattle

More pics of my visit with Piper!  We saw The Posies, which is one of my all time favorite bands (and I walked right by the lead singer in the street before the concert and nearly squealed/fainted on sight). I was too busy liking the concert to take pictures, but I did take a couple of others!

This is one of the flags that line Broadway year round:)  It’s one of the best neighborhoods to go out in on the weekends!

Still a favorite even if I don’t make it there often. The market was crowded and filled with sounds and smells. Exactly like I remembered it. Fun fact for those interested in coffee. The very first Starbucks in the world is right on the street in the picture above:)

I couldn’t help buying some pretty flowers:)

Signing off until our next adventure!

A day on Mount Rainier

My co-author and friend Piper Vaughn is here this week visiting me and sightseeing in Washington.  On her first day here, I took her up to see Mount Rainier. Usually in the summer, it looks something like the picture below. Not this year!

We’ve had such a cold summer that apparently the snow never melted. When Piper and I got up there, we were greeted with this:  (In July!!)

There was four or five feet of snow, even though it was a hot day! All the trails were covered, and no pretty flowers were anywhere to be seen:(  It was still gorgeous and we had a great day…until I wiped out in the snow and fell. LOL. that’s okay.

Here’s a picture of me (mostly) and Piper. We’re not trying to be sneaky. I just have awful aim. I tried:)

Hope you guys are having a great week!

4-2-11

It was a great day!

Something very unusual happened. Four people in my little critique group were offered a contract:)  So congrats to:

Xara X. Xanakas for signing Snakeskin Boots with Dreamspinner Press

Lissa Kasey for signing Inheritance also with Dreamspinner Press

And myself and my co-author Piper Vaughn will be releasing Moonlight Becomes You with Loose Id!

I know we’re all glad the wait is over!  Now comes the fun part:)  Oh, and btw…that picture above will soon be tattooed on my foot! We’re all thinking of getting designs to commemorate the day.

*Even though it was on a different day, congrats also to our friend LC Chase for selling Long Tall Drink to Loose Id! None of us could’ve done this without her and I’m still hoping she’ll get a tattoo:)*

It’s Spring!!

While it may have been pouring like a mother this morning, the sun came out for a few minutes this afternoon and it was gorgeous! I was walking around the yard with my camera taking pictures. My neighbors must think I’m nuts-o. This one was my favorite of the day:)
